How We Work Together

The Ocean County Career Center (OCCC) and the New Jersey Department of Labor (NJDOL) One-Stop are proud partners of the American Job Center network.

We operate as a single, customer-focused system so job seekers can move smoothly between Employment Services and Career & Training Services without repeating steps or guessing where to go next.

American Job Centers were established to deliver career counseling, job listings, training referrals, and reemployment support under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). DOL

CareerOneStop – sponsored by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration – is the official online companion to the AJC network, offering tools for career exploration, training, job search, and local help. Use it to research occupations, find apprenticeships, and connect with your nearest AJC. Help For Job Seekers >

AJCs serve communities across the country; veterans and eligible spouses receive priority of service, and veteran-focused staff (LVER/“vet reps”) help connect former service members to jobs and training. Nationwide, the American Job Centers system supports veterans through a network of more than 2,400 locations.
