What is Job Corps?
Job Corps is a federally funded program that helps young people develop the skills necessary to enter the workforce, pursue higher education, or start on a career pathway. With over 120 centers nationwide, students can train in high-demand industries while receiving education, counseling, and career guidance.
Who is Eligible?
To enroll in Job Corps, applicants must meet the following requirements:
✔ Be between the ages of 16 and 24
✔ Meet low-income guidelines
✔ Be committed to improving their education and future
✔ Need job skills training, education, counseling, or assistance to begin a career
✔ Be a U.S. citizen, legal U.S. resident, or authorized to work in the United States
✔ Not use drugs illegally under federal law
✔ Not exhibit behavioral issues that could disrupt the program
✔ Have no certain criminal convictions or active court supervision
