Position: Intern

Internship Summary

  • Support the Director of Volunteer Management & Development and the Director of Programs in the following areas:
    • Administrative support.
    • Event assistance.
    • Program research and development.
    • Building media lists and crafting press materials/pitches.
    • Managing social media platforms.
    • Assisting with volunteer recruitment, screening, training, and supervision.

Requirements

  • Completion of fingerprinting and background checks.
  • Weekly supervision with the assigned supervisor.
  • Skills and Attributes:
    • Strong communication and organizational skills.
    • Proficiency in basic computer operations.
    • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
    • Capacity to manage multiple projects and assignments.
    • Professionalism in interpersonal interactions (in person and by phone).

Qualifications

  • Open to Undergraduate Juniors/Seniors and Graduate Students studying:
    • Social Services
    • Liberal Arts
    • Non-Profit Management
    • Social Work
    • Criminal Justice
    • Related fields
  • Commitment: 10-25 hours per week, on-site in Toms River, NJ.
  • Compensation: Unpaid; however, college credit is available.
