About Our Program

Our Twilight Automotive Technology program is specifically designed to prepare adult students for rewarding careers in the automotive industry. Through rigorous instruction, students learn essential skills and knowledge needed to perform maintenance, service, and repairs on modern automobiles, with a particular emphasis on safety and tool usage.

The curriculum covers:

  • Engine Repair
  • Engine Performance
  • Electrical/Electronic Systems
  • Brakes
  • Steering and Suspension
  • Heating and Air-Conditioning
  • Automatic Transmissions
  • Manual Transmission and Drive-Axle

All course content is accredited by the National Automobile Technician Educational Foundation (NATEF), ensuring high standards and industry relevance.

Your Role as an Instructor

As an instructor, you’ll play a critical role by:

  • Providing engaging, comprehensive instruction tailored to adult learners.
  • Preparing students effectively for ASE certification tests.
  • Creating a safe, inclusive, and conducive learning environment.
  • Collaborating closely with colleagues to keep curriculum aligned with NATEF standards.
  • Assessing student progress and offering constructive feedback.

Who We Are Looking For

Ideal candidates should possess:

  • A high school diploma or GED (Post-secondary education in Automotive Technology or related fields preferred).
  • ASE Certification strongly preferred.
  • At least five years of hands-on automotive industry experience.
  • Previous teaching or training experience is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of connecting effectively with adult learners.
