Through their partnership with Build Green Maine, NJNG provides eligible customers within their service area the chance to earn three valuable Building Performance Institute (BPI) certifications. This comprehensive training will prepare you for a rewarding career in the energy efficiency industry.
Courses Offered:
Building Science Principles (BSP) Certification Training
- Perfect for newcomers to the industry, this course introduces you to residential construction, energy efficiency, and mechanical systems.
- Format: 1-day online webinar with a 100-question certifying exam.
- NJNG will provide all necessary materials and access to the certifying test.
Building Analyst Technician (BAT) Certification Training
- This in-depth course covers building inspections, diagnostic testing, energy conservation, and health & safety assessments.
- Format: Hybrid course with 16 hours of online instruction and 8 hours of hands-on, in-person field training. A 4-hour proctored field exam will complete the certification process.
Building Analyst Professional (BAP) Certification Training
- Advance your knowledge and skills to become an energy efficiency expert, mastering building science and in-field management techniques.
In-Person Training Location:
- Long Branch, NJ (with plans to open a second training site in Atlantic Highlands by the end of October 2024).
