Human Trafficking Prevention Training Dates
September 12 or September 18, 2024 Time: 1:00pm-2:30pm (Register for Sept 12) or 4:00pm-5:30pm (Register for Sept 18) Format: Virtual via Zoom This crucial training by the Set Me Free Project covers what human trafficking is, how it affects our communities, recognizing signs of trafficking, consent issues, online safety, and how to respond to human trafficking situations. Deaf and Hard of Hearing Sensitivity Training Date
September 17, 2024 Time: 11:30am – 1:30pm Format: Virtual This free training, presented by Melissa Lamboy, is especially beneficial for professionals working with the deaf and hard of hearing community. Learn about deaf culture, common challenges, and effective communication strategies. This session is eligible for 2 DRCC Recertification Credits.
Disaster Preparedness for the Whole Community Date
September 13, 2024 Time: 12:00pm – 1:30pm Format: Virtual via Microsoft Teams Join Jamie Arasz Prioli to learn how to create your personal disaster preparedness plan. This training is particularly timely as September is National Preparedness Month. Eligible for 1.5 DRCC credits.
Postvention Strategies for Schools after Sudden-Traumatic Loss Date
September 20, 2024 Time: 9:00am – 1:00pm Location: Proving Ground Church, Lakehurst, NJ This in-person training is designed to prepare school support and administrative staff to respond effectively in the event of a sudden traumatic loss.
Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA)
Date: October 18, 2024 Time: 9:00am – 1:00pm Location: Community Medical Center, Toms River, NJ This blended learning course certifies participants in Youth Mental Health First Aid. Complete 2 hours of self-paced pre-work before attending the 4-hour in-person session.
