This is not a typical job fair where resumes disappear into a stack. Employers attending this event will be conducting on-site interviews the same day. For job seekers from Toms River, Brick, Lakewood, and nearby communities, that means walking in and potentially walking out with a real next step.

Bringing multiple copies of your resume is strongly recommended. Dressing professionally and arriving early will also help make the most of the opportunity.

Community Resources Under One Roof

In addition to employment opportunities, the fair brings together community organizations and agencies. Attendees can gather information on support services, disability resources, and programs available through local, county, and state providers. For families navigating these systems, having access to multiple organizations in one location saves considerable time and effort.

An Awards Ceremony Honoring Inclusive Employment

The event includes a formal awards ceremony. Individuals with disabilities, employees with disabilities, and employers who have demonstrated inclusive hiring practices will all be recognized. The ceremony adds a meaningful dimension to the day and highlights the real progress being made in disability-inclusive employment across the region.

Accessibility and Sensory-Friendly Accommodations

The organizers have built accessibility into the event from the start. A sensitivity-friendly hour will be offered, and ASL interpreters will be on site throughout the fair.
