Ocean County Disability Resource Fair Coming to Toms River on July 17

What the Event Is and Who It Serves

Finding the right support can feel like a full-time job. For families in Toms River, Brick, Lacey Township, and surrounding communities, the process is often fragmented. This event is designed to change that. Dozens of agencies will be present under one roof. Attendees can speak directly with representatives from state, county, and local organizations. There is no appointment needed and no cost to attend.

The fair is geared toward individuals living with physical, developmental, sensory, or cognitive disabilities. Families, caregivers, and advocates are also encouraged to attend. It does not matter what stage of the process someone is in. First-time resource seekers and long-time service recipients alike will find value in attending.

Special Recognition: The 1st Annual Disability Art Contest

This year’s fair includes two notable program additions. The Ocean County Board of Commissioners will deliver a formal proclamation at the event. In addition, the fair will host an awards ceremony for winners of the 1st Annual Disability Art Contest.

The art contest recognizes creative expression among individuals with disabilities. It adds a meaningful community layer to what is already a practical and informative event. The ceremony is a celebration worth attending on its own.
